Lewis Kaufman: Copywriter
My background is eclectic, with studies in geology, international relations, Bible, biomedical research and marketing. After several years of writing, editing, and managing scientific writers in the field of contract toxicology research (interrupted by a missionary stint in Turkey), I transitioned to marketing copywriting and freelance scientific writing in 2005. Today, I bring the full weight of my international and multidisciplinary experience to every writing project I accept, whether it is a research-based, nonprofit, B2C or B2B marketing, or web site assignment. My passion is enabling progressive decision makers to coax their clients or customers into action through ethically persuasive writing. When I'm not writing, I enjoy traveling (especially when it includes mountain hiking), reading thriller/sci-fi novels and other perspective-altering literature, watching movies, sharing good food and Turkish raki, or kicking a soccer ball around. My wife, Marienel, who just makes it all so much better, joins me in most everything. We lease our spacious front porch to five neighborhood cats (my pal Jack and his buddies Joe, Scaredy, Blackie, and Yellow).
